What is the procedure for this treatment?
Patients will be given a personlised skincare regime at their consultation required before the treatment to ensure skin is in optimal condition to maximise the effectiveness of the treatment.
The procedure takes around 30 minutes per session. The skin is cleansed before the solution is applied to the affected areas. When this is completed a post-peel mask will be applied and massaged into the skin. These treatment are usually recommended 2 weeks apart but a treatment program will be recommended for your skin needs at your consultation. During the course skin care products will be provided and when the course is complete a skincare regime will be set up to help maximise the effects. This Medik8 regime will be personally tailored to clients skin type and needs.
What can I expect to feel?
You may feel a slight tingling warming sensation during treatment this is normal and some minimal discomfort may be felt by some following the procedure.
Can I use makeup after my Peel?
No makeup is not recommended after treatment for 24 hours unless you are using Lycogel
(Lycogel is a makeup specifically designed for post treatment use).
What are the benefits of the treatment?

What are the side effects of this treatment?
The solution that is applied to the skin is intended to dry out the upper layers of skin causing them to peel away. This may cause some redness and itching as the skin begins to peel. Some pain may also be experienced similar to that of mild sunburn.
How long does the treatment take?
The treatment takes around 30 minutes per session. This treatment is a course of usually 4 -6 sessions that are carried out on a fortnightly basis, but a treatment course will be designed at your consultation for your specific skin needs prior to the commencement of your treatments.
How long before I can go in the sun?
The skin that peels away after the procedure leaves a fresh layer of skin that is vulnerable. It is advised that you stay out of the sun for at least 6-8 weeks following this treatment. Sun cream must also be worn at all times following the procedure even in winter time. This is to protect the new skin, if exposed to the sun this may affect the benefits of the treatment.
